Paul and Juliana are a married couple who live in Charlotte, North Carolina. Their music makes use of pitch alteration, bringing Paul's already-low voice down a few steps, and bringing Juliana's alto voice up. This combines with both musicians' pitch-shifted guitars in a haunting, almost primal way. Their delivery grows even beyond this unnervingly different sound with the help of striking lyricism.

Juliana says:

"We both write the lyrics; our process of collaboration brings out strange parallels and creates interesting characters within our songs. My contributions teeter toward dark themes and Paul's bring some levity and humor to the scene."
