about

Jim Reedy is a songster from Mesoulah, Montanah whose efforts uncover beauty through simplicity. He uses minimal words and thoughtful imagery to convey messages of lost love, introspection, and grief. The opening track, La Belle, is named after a 17th-century shipwreck at the mouth of the Mississippi River.

Reedy tells us,

"Shipwrecks fascinate me. You start with a beautiful, state-of-the-art piece of craftsmanship, the culmination of months of meticulously detailed work, and no matter how much you plan ahead, you are still at the mercy of the basic elements of nature. Reading about the shipwreck of La Belle was what brought me to write all four of these songs."
